DESIGNER/PROJECT COORDINATOR

LOCATION: 490 Gilbert Ave.

 

We have an immediate opening for an experienced designer with a background in industrial, environmental or architectural design to assist with the design and coordination of residential millwork projects. The ideal candidate has hands on fabrication experience.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produce 2D and 3D design drawings using Sketchup and Layout as well as other supporting programs and apps.

  • Coordinate projects from start to finish, includes drawings, material and component ordering, sub-trade coordination, deliveries and installations, sourcing as well as delivery and pick ups.

  • Strong understanding of materials and processes required.

  • Strong organization and multitasking abilities required.

  • The ideal candidate has hands on fabrication experience.

  • $25/hr. - Compensation to be calculated based on experience.

SKILLS

  • You must have good knowledge of residential construction and excellent knowledge of millwork and furniture construction processes.

  • You must have the ability to create functional cabinetry drawings that clearly communicate construction details that can be used for fabrication.

  • You are a team player, problem solver, able to multi-task, highly efficient, detailed and organized, dependable and flexible.

CABINETMAKER

LOCATION: 490 Gilbert Ave.

 

We have an immediate opening for an amazingly talented, creative and passionate cabinetmaker to join our team at our South Shop at Eglinton and Caledonia.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Read 2D and 3D design drawings using Sketchup, Layout and AutoCad and translate into workable cut lists.

  • Coordinate and fabricate projects from start to finish, including cut lists, material take offs, site visits and occasional deliveries and installations.

  • Compensation to be calculated based on experience.

SKILLS

  • At least 5+ years experience in hands on cabinetry and furniture making.

  • An excellent understanding of cabinetry materials and processes.

  • You must be creative, passionate, detail and goal oriented.

  • You must have a keen sense of current design, furniture and home decor trends.

  • You are a self starter, a problem solver, able to multi-task, highly efficient, organized, dependable and flexible.

  • Proficient in the English language.

  • Valid G-class driver’s licence.
